Your Regulation Walkthrough Is Ready.

Use this tool to take a closer look at how your school systems are supporting student regulation during transitions. 

Rather than evaluating individual teachers or classrooms, the goal is to notice patterns across your school—and identify where greater consistency may better support regulation.

How to use the walkthrough:

1. Choose one transition to observe—such as the return from recess, lunch, or specials. 
2. Visit several classrooms during the same transition.
3. Look for patterns across classrooms, rather than evaluating individual teachers.
4. Use the reflection questions to identify one schoolwide condition that may be worth strengthening.

Over the next few days, I’ll share a few additional ideas to help you think about regulation as a schoolwide practice—not simply something individual teachers support in individual classrooms.
